Two out of three of the pods have sprouted. The third you can see the seeds just starting to pop open.

The lettuce is growing like crazy but we still have only one chive. From what I have read, the chives don't really do very well anyways.

New Member of the Aerogarden Family

I got my new Aerogarden in the mail today. It was a birthday gift from Andy. I love it! It is sooo cute! We planted the Scented Blooms which has Stock, Snapdragon and Diascia. It is going to be so pretty!!

Getting Bigger!

Today is day 11 for growth. They are looking good but slowing down. We finally have a chive! Just one.

Aerogarden Pics

This morning the lettuce finally sprouted. It has been 2 full days since I planted it and I was getting worried that it wouldn't grow. I woke up this morning to cute little green sprouts in each pod. I was so excited!!

Birthday

I have been celebrating my birthday with various people since Friday. My mom came to visit on Friday and it was great. I don't get to see her as much as I would like anymore, I miss just sitting and talking about girlie things, the old neighborhood, old friends, and boys. I really want to spend more time with mom.

On Saturday we went out for a birthday lunch with Andy's parents. We went to Marty's because they have such great pizza and I figured it would a low stress place. The food was great like always but half way through lunch a child hockey team came in and completely filled the restaurant. And I mean filled, every single table was filled with extremely loud and obnoxious children and their parents. It was so loud we couldn't even hold a conversation. On our way out, Mom J gave me my birthday presents and stuff. It was great. I got Harry Potter Clue which I have been wanting forever! We played it tonight and it is a pretty good variation of the original Clue. She also made me brownies and taco dip!!! Excellent, excellent, excellent!!! Earl gave me a great card and a check. With the money from him I was able to get my Aerogarden!!!! and it was on a great sale ($100 off!!!).

I have wanted an Aerogarden (I got the Aerogarden 6) for a very long time. We got it home and I immediately took it out of the box. The instructions were very very easy to follow with lots of pictures so it didn't take me more than 3 minutes to get it up and running. I planted 4 pods of salad greens and a pod of chives and a pod of dill. The salad greens are supposed to germinate in 1-3 days, the dill in 7-11, and I think the chives are 5-7. I don't quite remember. We are on the first full day today and you can see the very beginning of the sprouts popping out on the salad greens. I am so excited! I can't wait to eat fresh lettuce!!!

On Monday, Grandma and Poppie came over for lunch. We went to Chili's and ate tons of yummy food. I hate that I don't get to see them very often anymore :(

Loss of a friend

We lost Fuzzy a week ago to long fight against insulinoma and lymphoma. He was strong all the way to the end. He told us when it was time and we helped him to the Rainbow Bridge. We miss you Foo!!!
